What is Baptism?

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward spiritual reality — an expression of faith, a visual picture of a believer’s union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. 

Who: Disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:38a)
Why: Because the Lord commanded it for all those who trust the Gospel. (Matthew 3:13-17)
When: Once you have put your faith in Jesus alone and understand clearly the role of baptism. When you understand that belief and behavior are intertwined together (Acts 2:38-41; 1 Corinthians 2:1-5; James 2:14-17, 24-26; Galatians 3:26-29)
